Scout News MILK AND CREAM PRODUCERS Early in January, 1937 the Middlesex creameries came in- to being. A few years later, due to the loyal support of our numerous cream patrons, many of whom are still with us, we became one of the largest butter manufacturers in Ontario. In 1942 we started a policy of paying our patrons a bonus, over and above the prevailing butter fat price. Up until the encl of 1957 this additional money paid to our producers amount- ed to the substantial sum of $216,943.68. It has now become evident that many milk producers of this area are desirous of sellng whole milk in order to avoid the labor and expense of separating. In view of this we are pleased to announce that ar- rangements are being completed to purchase Parkhill Creamery plant. at Parkhill, and we are now installing modern milk receiv- ing and separating equipment, and will be ready to receive milk or cream, on or about April 28. Our prices will always be based on the highest butter fat and milk powder market. Cream will continue to be received at the London plant, and both cream and whole milk will be received at the Park- hill plant. We invite you to become one of our many patrons, and to deal with a firm who has a reputation and record of more than 20 years of fair dealings with milk and cream producers. For further information please call 4-3277 at London, or 117 Parkhill, or 101 Zurich. We will be pleased to give partic- ulars as to deliveries, can, etc. Yours Truly, Middlesex Creameries Ltd. R. A. Dennis, President, and Managing Director. Robert Prang took over and discussed with the troop the compass and the im- portance of it if lost in the woods or on the sea. After this well- planned discussion we planned for our camping trip, which will take place this Saturday. We then held an Indian wrest- ling match, and at this week's meeting we will be wrestling for the championship of the troop. A trophy will be rewarded to the winner. The meeting was closed with everybody saying the Lord's Prayer. On Saturday the Boy Scouts were loading papers on to Thiel's truck to be transported to London.
