The meeting was the first one
held since the library was moved
to the new location. It was noted
there was a lot more room for
books, and more shelves have been
added, to accommodate the in-
creased circulation.

man Jones, Mrs. W. Goodwin, Mrs.

Farmers fail to understand why
some officials of the hog market-
ing association continued to say
that this method has been tried
and will not work. It had never
been officially tried by the hog
marketing board as requested. At
very little expense, this system
already organized in Grey County
could be given a trial and its
merit or detriment could be quick-
ly asserted. Through this system
if successful farmers could retain
their bargaining power, poor grad-
es through loss of weight and
bruising would be eliminated and
the expense of maintaining assem-
bly yards would be eliminated.
Regular medical check-ups and
lung X-rays are important in the
control of cancer. Detection of can-
cer in its early stages improves
chances of successful treatment.

Mr. Coleman said that the hog
producers have increased their
fees to help overcome a depleted
financial condition. It was felt
with the opening of more assemb-
ly yards aeross the country, the
fees could indeed be raised again.
With the present government
having such a large majority there
is more need than ever before for
farmers to organize, if they wish
to make themselves heard in Ot-
