Farm Forum
The Parr Line Farm Forum held
a ham supper at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. John Soldan on Wednes-
day evening, April 20. The forum
sat down to a heavily laden table
of goodies, provided by the ladies
::,f the forum.
After the sapper progressive
euchre was played, There were
five tables and the winners were:
ladies, Mrs. Ross Lave and Mrs.
Howard Adkins; gentlemen, Stew-
art Blackwell and Glenn Weido.

Last Wednesday night the first
Zurich I3oy Scouts held their reg-
ular weekly meeting, which opened
with every Scout repeating the
Scout promise. ,
A demonstration was held on
how to break the flag, after which
a review was had on the second
class test.
Pians were made t'or a camping
trip on the weekend of April 18,
to take pace at either Gascho's
cottage or the old Boy Scout camp
in the pineTy. This trip is to pre•
pare the Scouts for the Carnporee
to be held in May. We also hope
cn
his trip to improve on our fire
lighting,* and camp site layout.

nual is to be held in Crediton on
May 29, at the community centre.

(Dashwood Safety Guards)
The Dashwood Safety Guards
held their third meeting with 12
members and the leaders present.
Mrs. Mervyn Tiernan discussed
keeping fit physically. Posture
in walking, feet, chest and sitting
was the main topic. Mrs. Harry
Hoffman discussed first aid both
in minor and major wounds, and
means of lessening shock.
Home assignment; check post-
ure both in work and play. Enter
the defects and good points in rec-
ord book. Keep record book up to
date, Bring a sample of water from
the home well in bottle distributed
to be tested. Roll earl for next
meeting, "A defect in my posture".

The annual meeting of the
Dashwood WI was held Tuesday,
April 1. The president, Mrs, Arn-

Joint Meeting
The Ladies' Aid and W.S.W.S.
of Emmanuel E'.U,B, Church met
on Wednesday, April 2, with Mrs.
C. L ,Smith acting as chairlady.
Mrs. A. M. Amacher played Easter
music as a prelude.
Miss Louise Hendrick read the
Easter Scripture lesson. Mrs. El-
mer Koehler, of the McKillop con-
gregation, sang the selection, "One
Day." Mrs. Elwood Truemner gave
the reading "Easter in the Heart."
Mrs. Delbert Geiger gave a read-
ing on "The four Easters. There
was Easter once in history, Easter
once a year, Easter once a week,
Sunday, and Easter every day."
Mrs. Harold Rader' and Mrs.
Kenneth Breakey sang the duet,
"He Walked With Them". Mrs.
W. A. Siebert gave a reading on
"Christ Arose",
The president, Mrs. Delbert
Geiger, took charge of the meet-
ing and A. M. Amacher led in
prayer. Mrs. K. M. Breakey re-
ported for the service committee
that during the month 25 sick
visits were made; 46 get -well cards
were sent as well as 18 treats.

J. W. Merner were elected as dele-
gates to the Canada Conference,
W.S.W.S. convention to be held at
Sehrincville on May 29 and 30. Ten
ladies from the McKillop congrega-
tion attended the meeting,
