The Zurich Citizens News has
already made its first and second
appearance to the pubil and to
its readers, it is a reminder of the
Zurich Herald which had 57 yaers
to its credit, 43 of those many
years were under the management
of Mr. Chester F. Smith, Zurich,
editor, publisher and owner.
We ouldnot note this occasion
without passing the highest tri-
bute to Mr. and Mrs. Smith for
the honest duty performed by
them during those many years
gone by, they being impartial in
their laidy conduct, regardless of
race creed or colour, and publish-
ers they have left an example
which if put in practice will be
of benefit to others. There is no
doubt that their retiring decis-
ion was a heart breaking one, but
since time waits on no one, made
them victims of retiring age.
Being vigourous in both body
and mind, as time passes on they
will have visionary moments of
their past work, which will bring
to them contentment of mind and
of heart; may they in their de-
clining years enjoy the fruit of
their past labour.
