The Seargetlt Major has been in the Marine for 16 years, and during that time had been stationed at many points 'in the U:S.A.. The Marine Soldier was ,born in this vicinity in the nearby 14th Concession and when only two years of age moved with his parents to Detroit. The Seargent Major'e parents are Mr and Mrs Walter Jaffe- rey fofin"ter residents 'of this parish. R. 3, Dashwood was seriously injured on Saturday morning, Oct. 1St, where run over by his tractor. In 1'reuar- ation for threhing in the afteennon he and his nephew were drawing gravel on the barn bank.
