CROP REPORT — Approximately two-thirds of the first cut hay crop has noiv been harvested. Although it is late in the season for haying, good quality hay can still be made, part- icularly if the crap does not contain orchard grass for other early matur- ing grasses and Iegumes. During the past week we have had several reports of various insects causing damage to hay and cereal grain crops in the County. 'These insects appear to be active only in certain areas. To date no serious outbreaks of armyworm have been reported. As mentioned last week, a considerable number of the 'Worms have been lo- cated, but an abundant supply of green plants has provided sufficient feed for the insects and they have not daanaged the grain crop to any extent.
