Those Heavy Rains— •
Of late we have been getting fre-
fuent showers or should we call them
down -pours; It is sure a drawback
for the•, farmers, especiany ror the
roe crop. Should you happen to be r
a believer. im signs or signals, you;
may rerennber the old saying, a ,
dry first of May, a wet nuc finer, and
this year May lst w,as dry tett late
afternoon, masking it wet the beglnt-
ing of the summer such a: you are
getting today; perhaps you will not
believe in this dope eh?. But accord- •
ing to May, its, prophesy, there are'l
another. six weeks of wet stuff: in
Ig
the air; already we have had in the 't
first half orf this century tierce wet
summers and all of them were pre-
' dieted from the above »ientroned
signs. So if this proves true we
may as well sit put and let happen
what may,
This land of ours today is in an
upset .mood, but may turn out for the
best. So 'Cheer up!
