,oyed by fire early Monday night With
a loss of over $10,000, partly eovertid
by insurance The blaze broke o4t
while Mr Mason was putting do,Wn
feed in the barn A. dog reportedly
knocked over the lantern He Was
able to savehis cattle, several pigs
were lost in the flames, along with
feed and grain The Grand 13d,
Dashwood and Zurich, also the Air-
port fire brigades were present and
did what they could

At Hospital
Mr. and Mrs. John Gaschof
town are at London today, Wednes-
day to visit their son Mr. Allan
Gascho who is a patient at Victoria
Hospital, London. ' Unfortunately
Allan had a bad ;wisdom tooth calls..
hag him trouble and vent to London
to have it extracted, and after the
extraction was sent to the Hospital.
Seemingly some infection set in and
another operation had to be perfor-
med. We hope -the patient will soon
be restored to normal health again.

CAR LANDS IN FIELD
One passenger in a car- skidded on
icy Highway No 4, about a mile
south of Hensall Saturday night he
was taken to hospital in Clinton with
a broken shoulder and injuries to his
ear. Ray Cooper of Exeter, was rid-
ing southbound car driven by Donald
Webster, 2'5? of near Exeter, when
it skidded and rolled over into the
east ditch and .came to rest in a
field about 75 feet away. Webster
was unhurt. Estimated damage to
the car is $1,000.
START PARK IN SPRING
Work on the development of the
1Pinery, the 4,000 -acre tract expopri-
ated by the Ontario Government in
1955, will start this spring and one
area is expected to be available for
limited public use about the middle
of summer. This was revealed by
W. B. Greenwood, chief of parks
division of the Department of Lae&
and Forests, in a letter to the Exeter
Times -Advocate recently. Asked
What plans have :been made for the
park Mr. Greenwood • wrote: "We
have laid out three areas for immed-
iate development and we purpose
[working on these areas throughout
the coming spring and summer and
fall. We hope to have one area mafIc.,
•
available for public use to a limited
extent about the middle of the sum-
mer."
