It Is Cold
The weather prophet who said we
will have such a mildwinter, should
take a trip out these days, and he
would ,greatly -change his mind:.
When we have zero weather - and
with the wind !hoWlinig as it does
these days, we know that" it is cold.
But the mercury •dro,pped ,consider-
able the zero mark these nights. We
.seemingly are making up for.sem e

Farm Forum
UNIQUE FORUM MEET
Mdmbers of the Unique Forum met
at the hone of Mr and Mrs. Delbert
Geiger to discuss the topic " How
Can Parity Income for. Agriculture
be achieved," under the leadership of,.
Mr. Aaron Oestreicher. The various
,groups answered the question. What
do -es your Forum think are the most
important ways sof securing parity
income for Agriculture? The major-
ity of our members felt that our pri-
' ces are slightly 'below parity. it was
Isuggested that the - floor price could
be raised in some instances. A. two
price system such as the bean board
could be very effectiwe. The topic
for next week "Is Parity Income for
AgricultureEnough." The speaker on
this subject will be !Mrs. Carl Oes-
Ireicher. The next meeting will be
held at the home of Mr and Mrs.
Jack McClinchey. Mr.. Geiger s.zrv-
ed a tasty delicious lunch. and the
rr:eeting closed with the National

Agricultural Office News
Clinton, January 12th, 10.57
DROP REPORT — This last week
has been the coldest period so far
this winter. Farmers are taking ad-
vantage of the open roads to attend
Annival Meetings and other regular
meeting of Agricultural Organ czatr-
ons in theCounty. During the past
two weeks farmers have been adding
up their ,accounts for 1956 and the
North and SSouth-..Huron, Fahr Man-
agement Associations met on Thurs-
day and Friday to analyse their re -
dards for the past year. The demand
for New Farm Account .Books has
been very high anal to date approxi-
mately 200 have been distributed
from this Office.
Several farmers in the County have
ir!a.de ingiuiriea concerning 1.957 seed
grain. This is a wise move as good
seed may be in short supply because
of the po:_r harvest season in 1950.
