Evangelical Christmas Entertain-
ment
The annual Christmas entertainm-
ent of the Evangelical Sunday School
will be held on next Sunday evening,
22nd.., in ,the Evangelical church,

Bible Conference
During the Christmas vacation from
December 26.th to January 1st inclu-

sive, there will'be held (D.V.) a bible
, school for children from 5 years age
to 16 yrs, in the basement of the
Zurich Mennonite church each morn-
ing at 9.30 and afternoon at 1 o'clock
This privilege is open to all homes of
the community. Those of neighboring
Sunday Schools are particularly in-
vited. The idea of this work is to
assist the child in acquiring a fair
and complete knowle3ge of the bible.

the Evangelical church when a tablet
in memory of the late Rev. W. S.
Henrich will be unveiled. A speHel

service and special nude will be ren-
dered by the choir and the C. E.
Band.

have arrived and are now comfort-
ably settled in the Evangelical parson
age,

ing in Victoria Hospital, London, who
has been on the sick list the past

The Ladies' Aid and W. M. S. of
the Evangelical church, Zurich held
their annual business meeting in the
Church on Thursday afternoon, Dec-
ember 5th. Rev. Mr. Burn led the
devotional exercises and gave a short
talk to the ladies. The President,
Mrs. Burn, took charge of the bus-
iness of the month. It was decided to
send boxes of cheer to the sick and
shut ins for Christmas. Donations are
to be brought to the hone of Mrs.
Wm. O'Brein where the boxes will be
made up on Friday evening, Decem-
. ber 20th. Rev. E. 13urn then took
,the chair and presided over the, ani
nual Business and Election of' Offic-
ers. The Treasui er of the Ladies'
Aid gave a fine report' of the year's
'receipts . and expenses, showing a
,neat balance on hand. A splendid
report was also given by the W.M.S.
Treasurer. The Working Committee
treported quilting four quilts; 2 boxes
of clothing, bedding, etc., were ship -
1 ped to he needy in Saskatchewan;
t'Helped collect subscriptions for pap-
ers for which $32 was rea:zeci; look-
ed after washing the walls and wood-
work of the church. The Flower
committee reported 265 sick visits,
made 45 45 cards; 54 bouquets; 146
treats sent to the sick an.: shut-ins;
fruit • was' given to 11 different ladies
of the Society who were sick during
the year. 22 boxes sent to the shut-
ins at Christmas last year. It was
'decided to have the meetings on Wed-
nesday evenings at the homes for the
winter months. The- election result-.
