DEER KURT` IN ACCIDENTS:
Goderich.-Deer in; Huron County,
protected front hunters, are proving
to be their own: worst enemy. County
and Provincial: police have brought
in two • young deer within the last 24;
hours. Each had broken leg atteni-
pting to jump a fence. A large buck.
nearly broke its neck as zt crashers
into a fence while fleeing from the
head lights of a police car in Ash-
field Township, and a smaller deer
was: seen in. Ca1born. Township about
the same time.
WATCH THE DOGS •
Hunters and owners of dogs are
warned to keep them from molesting
the deer that are at large in the wo-
oded areas of the community.. It is
strictly against the law to have any
dogs molesting these harinress crea-
tures. Please ,Bear in mind and keep
your dogs away from the deer. We
have been asked recently who the
present game wardenfor this section
is, and we will gladly give this in-

There •will be sown sliding pictures
in the Town Hall, on Thursday even-
ing of this week, by the district re-
presentative of the Upper Canada
Bible- Society when Rev. Denny
Bright of London will give his an-
nual lecture and show in picture the
great work the society is doing. There
wit be no admission charges. All are
invited to attend. The annual organ-
ization will also take place at this
same meeting.
Former Resident Passes
Word has been received here of
the death at Goderich Hospital on
November 13th, of an old Zurich
Boy in the person of Mr. John Claus-
ius. The deceased had been in poor
health for some time and the end
came ras a relief. The funeral was
held from the residence of his dau-
ghter Mrs. Likely, Clinton, to Blyth
Union Cemetery on Friday, Novem-
ber 15th,

The W. M. S. of the Blake United
Church held their regular monthly
