A NICE AUTUMN
UMN
Up till now we have.,erijoyed one
of the finest autumns that we can re-
collect. Most years by this time of
year, we have had a lotof rorean wea-
ther, with lots 'of 'mow and frosts,
but this year so far we have been
able to avoid the cold .and wintry
weather that is prevalent in northern
Ontario and the Canada West. From
all over the ,county come ''reports of
flowers stili in bloom, long after t' '
time when they usually are finished.
Roses are frequently heard of 'mums,
petunias and merig•olds are very free-
ly seen in the flower beds. "We hear
of recently some more e-nnrt gee 1-
eners who have been picking rasp-
berries for the table. Truly it looks.
like an open winter.
