Cattle, Sheep and- hogs were also
well filled and of a. good type. •The

considerable .over a half ton, 'is in-

contributed to the muds elf the art-
ernoon, ;as also did the amplification
system :w'hi'ch Mr: harry :Hess had
at biih :sides of the show house. Mr.
Hess also hair a nicedisplay of radios
in the show house, as did the Zurich
Creamery, advertising their products,
this is the first year this new enter-
prise was here to exhibit, and in or-
der to get better acquainted` they
handed out free some 500 glasses, of
nice sweet buttermilk, which moisten-
ed up many a dry throat. The big-
gest nnidway ever, had on these gro-
unds was present, but the Provin-
cial authorities closed up some of
these so-called "fakers". The races
were also very good as more horses
were present to compete in one race
it was split up in two sections and
they certainly did go. Bumming It
all up we think the enthusiasm of the
local fall fair at present is better
than it was in a decade or two, as
only a few years ago it lookedas if
the small fairs would soon be a thing
of the past. But at present it is not
alone entertaining but very educative

THE CONCERT
The concert in the town hall on
Tuesday evening (Fair night) and
under the management of the Fair
Board was well attended and the
hall as usual` wes filled to capacity.
The play entitled "Lighthouse Nan"
which was put on by the Junior Far-
mers and Junior Institute was well
received by the large audience. Miss
J. E. MacDonald was the instructor
of the play and everything went offff
in good order, as the various charact-
ers took their parts well which is in-
deed a big cred to this organization.
!The concert was then followed by the
I usual dance and those who indulge
in this kind of recreation tipped the
floor till well past midnight. There
nights of entertainment are a big
boon to the treasury of 'the Provin-
cial government as Mr. Klopp, the
Society. Secy-Treas. advises lis; that
