Fair probably the best in histizry. Days like this are obten vara rare; at this time of the year, and: the: public took advantave of turning ant in hundreds to visit this annual event,: :airdl :ave are told that Zurich. Fair thisyear. was one of the outstanding ;tea the community, not alone in numbers, but also a the high crass 'M 114ab ts. 'The inside departments„ 'although not as numerous as scarce stars, but the -quality ', of the exhibits • was per heps better than in former :mars. The, poultr exhibits were: of a very high quality, and one vershinte to gam- prize in this rine muss; have the very choicest- of bird's, as the: biggest -bird .Just pickedfrom the: barnyard flock :is not good enough atpresent to win prizes. The horse h €,its; were The Do You Need Glasses? .Stop and Think: how important it is "that you wear correct glasses--cor- .rectly prescribed for you vision. ingllrnugbt.a .long way- to be shown. Cattle, Sheep and- hogs were also well filled and of a. good type. •The hi.g -male. Yorkshire owned by Mr. A. Warner of Bayfield which weighs considerable .over a half ton, 'is in- deed .a wonderful pig, and well worth loaking cover. The Dashwood band contributed to the muds elf the art- ernoon, ;as also did the amplification system :w'hi'ch Mr: harry :Hess had at biih :sides of the show house. Mr. Hess also hair a nicedisplay of radios in the show house, as did the Zurich Creamery, advertising their products, this is the first year this new enter- prise was here to exhibit, and in or- der to get better acquainted` they handed out free some 500 glasses, of nice sweet buttermilk, which moisten- ed up many a dry throat. The big- gest nnidway ever, had on these gro- unds was present, but the Provin- cial authorities closed up some of these so-called "fakers". The races were also very good as more horses were present to compete in one race it was split up in two sections and they certainly did go. Bumming It all up we think the enthusiasm of the local fall fair at present is better than it was in a decade or two, as only a few years ago it lookedas if the small fairs would soon be a thing of the past. But at present it is not alone entertaining but very educative HORSES oCorrectly styled to your face..
