ZURICH WINS
Zurich 7. Seaforth 0
In one of the best .games of base-
ball played this season Zurich defeat-
ed the Seaforth team last Friday
afternoon at Seaforth by the score
of 7-0. This was the second game in
the ploy offs and a third game will
be necessary and will be played in
Seaforth Friday, September 14th.
Seaforth having won the first game
in Zurich. Heideman, the young
Zurich pitcher pitched a fine game
allowing the hard hitting Seaforth
team only four hits. However, he
received good support from his team-
mates. Kerslake, the Seaforth pit-
cher also pitched a good game, but
the Zurich boys got their hits when
hits meant runs.

Paint Prices Sharply Reduced
A sharp reduction in the • price of
first quality house paint to $3.75
per gallon is announced by the manu-
facturers of some of Canada's best-
known prands of paint, the reduction
to take effect immediately. In mak-
ing the announcement, the compan-
ies concerned state that the reduction
is not justified by any change in
market conditions or manufacturing
costs. They point out, however,that
during the past few years many
householders have been misled by
"bargain" prices into using inferior
paint with results that reacted un-
favourably
on the whole industry.
Drastic action was felt to be neces-
sary to check a situation that serio-
usly threatened property values all
over the country. The new low price
is designed to make it easier for
property owners to ust first quality
paint only, with resulting benefit to
property and to the community in
general. The companies announce the
reduction are Canada Paint; Inter-
national Varnish, Martin -Senor and
Sharwin-Williams.
