eled 200 feet on the shoulder of the
road, then turned over on its- side,'
A boulder on the side or the 'goad
caught the body of the car, wreck-
ing it. Mrs. Burn was badly bruised
and shocked and was taken to a near-
by farmhouse for first aid..Traffic
Officer Foxton investigated. He es-
timated the damage to the body of
the car at $250.

The St. Peter's Luther League will
hold their weekly devotional meeting
on Friday evening. The topic to .be
discussed is "What Makes Up a Good
Time". All the young people are re-
quested to attend_

ZURICH WINS FIRST
In the first of the home and home
play off games at Mitchell on Mon-
day
onday evening, Zurich defeated the Mit
shell team,' score 5-11. The Zurich
team played a steady game, but. was
a little too strong in the bat for the

On Friday evening, August 2ndthe
St. Peter's Luther League entertaui-
ed the Stratford Luther League. The
social evening was opened in a de-
votional manner after which follow-
ed a short prog_amme and games, af-
ter which a dainty lunch was served.
The :aratford League left all expres-
sing an enjoyable evening.

ance of the Lake Road East Conces-

Breaks Both 'Wrists
Councill Charles C. Lee, ex -mayor
of Goder:iclr, is in the hospital with
both wrists fractured as the result of

McMillan, brother of the late Thos.

as their standard bearer in the
forthcoming federal election. Mr.
McMillan carried the nomination con

candidates,. He won on the second
ballot to oust Mayor A. Sutherland
Of Seaforth. Those named were Mr.
McMillan, Mayor Sutherland, Mr.

Elder of Hay Tp., Wm. Black, the
president of the U.F.O. Association
and former U.FO. member and W.G.
Mead twice U.F.O. provincial mem-

only McMillan and Sutherland in the
