Province Approaching Crisis
As he answered critics of his Gov-
ernment's decision to cut relief con-
tributions, Premier Hepburn, in a
formal statement indicated continu-
ation of an extravagant relief syst-
em would certainly have led to the
province's bankruptcy. The province
is approaching a crisis, hedeclared,
and unless the drain on the treasury
is checked the province will be in-
solvent and will be nntble to render
further financial assistance to the

No Paper Last Week
We notice in the last issue v£ the
Exeter Times -Advocate that they
were in the same position as the
Zurich Herald last week and did not
get out the weekly issue, as they evi-
dently had too much Old Boys in
their system, being several .days be-
hind the previous, week and then, on
Monday being civic holiday. We
most heartily agree with. a goodly
number of our subscribers, that the
publisher is worthy of a week's boli -
lays once a year. So here's hoping
hat the Times -Advocate staff had
a bit of relaxation_
