Dashwood Couple Celebrates
Golden Wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Gottfried Oestreicher
Dashwood celebrated their golden
evedding on Thursday of last week,
Over fifty guests gathered at their
!home where the bridal couple of
fifty years were showered with con-
gratulations and good wishes, after
which the party went to the base-
ment of the Evangelical Church
where a wedding dinner was served
by five grandchildren, Misses Jots
Brunner, Lois Brunner and Eunice
Ocetreicher and Dot:iild and Cain"
Oestreicher. The bride's table wa'
centred with yellow marigolds and
'Baby's breath in a ,,i'ver hof 'er wit!
tail yellow candles. Yellow dal, les ons
the small tables and a tall standard
sig' yellow hollyhocks were used effect-
ively. Tiny white and gold sails stuck
in orange slice gumdrops "made pretty

Mr. and Mil.. Oestreicher fifty years
ayo settled On a farm hi Stephen Tp.
near Credit2ai and in•11'898 moved to
as farm in Bay Twp., near Dashwood,
Where they lived until retiring to the
village of Dashwood in 1919. They
have .been loyal and active members
of the Dashwood Evangelical church
for over forty years, Mr. Oestreicher
having Leen Sunday School president
choir leader and a member of the,
Board .:of Trustee= for a number of
years.
Eight guests who attended the orig-
inal wedding were present at this an-

Died at Grand Bend
There passed awey in his 78th yr.
a highly respected resident of Grand
Bend in the person of Walter Eng-
land. He was born at Oshawa and
moven to McGillivray Tp., with his
parents when two years old, settled
near Parkhill. Deceased lived at. Gre-
enway for many years, moving to the
Bend some 12 years ago. Besides his
sorrowing widow he leaves three bro
titers and one sistser. The funeral
conducted by Rev. J. B. Moore with
interment in the Grand Bend eemet-
