HIGH REGARD OF ZURICH
PLAYERS
(Huron Expositor, Seaforth)
In the first game Mitchell was nos-
ed out after having a lead over Zur-
ich throughout the game. Zurich was
three runs down going into their
half of the ninth when I. Yungblut
was pat in as a pinch hitter and clo-
uted out a beautiful two bagger to
bring in the winning run after Heide
man, Stade and Oeseh had tied the
count. Heideman of Zurich, showed
promise of becoming a pitching ace.
Although only 17, he went the full
nine frames without showing much
difference in his speed and faced the
'difference
batters without faltering.
The game itself was well fought; a
hard' one for Mitchell to lose but a
glorious victory- for Zurich. The
Seaforth-Zurich game was a close
battle from start to finish. Carter
Kerslake pitched his usual good game
retiring nine batters by the strike-
out method. E. Giascho pitched for
Zurich but was replaced by 13ritnell
hi the eigth. Gascho at one time
was rated as a star pitcher and was
slated to become a big lueger, but
his playing ability was above par so
was used in other positions in -
