A goodly number of villagers at-
tended the Minstrel show at Hensall
last Thursday evening. The show was
put on by the boys of Hensall, and
was a credit the the talented - young
men of the town. There was excel-
lent order throughout and everyone
took their ''parts ==well: .
Mr.. Herb Rousseau has purcktased.
a new Ford V8 truck which he will
equip with gasoline tanks, and will
transport his gas from the big cen-
tres. On Monday he made a trip to
Hamilton, returning with a load of
1200 gallons.. This will be a big
saving in freight costs we are in-
clined to believe.
A GOOD CATCH
Exceptionally large catches for the
time of year are being brought in
by Goderich commercial fishermen,
but MacKay Bros? lift on Monday
last leads by far. Although two of
their nets were caught in the ice and
had to be left, the catch approxi-
mated nearly a ton of perch. From
Kincardine comes a report that near-
ly -11A tons of trout were lifted re-
cently.
