SHORT COURSE ENDS The montbs'' Short Course, held in • Clinton during the mouth of January came to an end: Friday last when the closing exercises were )weld in the town hall. No longer will they have to pay fees at the annual midsummer exams., and these exams will be finished by June 28th. Announcement of these two 'intended moves of the provincial government came from the Premier and the minister of education.. EARLY SPRING? We have indeed been enjoying sortie real nice winter weather the past number of days, with the tem- perature just a little below the fee- ezing point, but where the sun, which is becoming a little stronger, hits, there is a little thaw. The reason. their duties are not heavier is that their work has beengradually taken away from them and centralized at Toronto.
