is indeed one of the ;]=.net 150 acre

Township to Pay $1,000
The lone standing arbitration pro-

Grand Bend against the Tp. of Steph-

have been terminated by a judgment

County Judge, who took lengthy
evidence at •Crediton and also view-

the Township must pay Pollock

New Wheat Champion
A new wheat King was crowned
on Sunday night in. Chicago, at the
of hay and grain show held with the in-
ternational livestock exposition ---and
again the coveted crown of the North
American grain kingdom rests on the
brow of a Canadian—John B. Allsop,
of Wembley, Alta. His victory gave
to the Dominion's wheat growers
their 12th wheat championship since
1919. The ' reserve champion ---The
Prince of Wheat --was L. E. Petere
son, of Victor, Montana. Allsop and
his entry are from the fanned Peace
River Valley of Alberta, where most
of the wheat grown is of champion-
ship calibre. The grand championship
in the wheat division was won by hie
exhibit of a •peck of "Reward" veil-
,ety grain. Last year Frank Isackson
. of Elfros, Sack., exhibited the chain -

In Police Court
A three-hour court session was
conducted by Mag. J. A. 1llakins at
Goderich last Thursday afternoon,
when 33 cases, a record for the Mag
Court at Go- ceieb. were dealt with.
Court was held in the townhali,as
the regular room was too small to
accomodate those present. 18 Goder-
ich citizens were charged with oper-
ating radios without license. Several
were inclined to fight their case, hut
the majority paid a $2 fine which
was the minimum. A charge of reck-
less driving, preferred against Ross
Cardiff, 23 year old son of Reeve
Cardiff, of Morris Tp., by Sheriff C.
G. Middleton and a similar counter-
charge laid by young Cardiff, were
both dismissed by Ilis Worship after
an hour's hearing of witnesses with
regard to a motor accident on Nov.
9th on No. 8 highway a mile west of
Seaforth. The Mag. advised that the
case be taken to the civil courts. A
charge of leaving the scene of an ac-
cident, preferred against Isaac Rap-
son, of Londesboro by Elwin Munroe
Of Blyth, resuled in a $25 fine, with
costs, for the • former when he plead-
ed guilty. Rapson cut in .too close on
Munroe's car and crumpled a fender
and did not stop. A charge of leav-
ing the scene of accident, lodged a-
gainst Albert Leibold of Zurich, mot-
orcyclist was dismissed for lack of
identification. Daisy Shaw is still on
the wanted list. She was arrested in
Bayfield at the fall fair on Sept. 26
by Constable Geo. Little. En route to
Goderich, to be charged with having
liquor in a' public place and being
intoxicated, Daisy either jumped or
fell from the police car. She was
taken to Clinton hospital •and a third
eharge, of obstructing an officer, was
laid. On her release from the hospit-
el a month ago, she was instructed
to appear in court, but disappeared,
and since then Daisy is nowhere to
be found.
