By a narrow margin of 2-1 Hen-
salt baseball team met their "Water-
loo" at Kitchener on Wednesday on
ast week playing with the Waterloo
team.. After winning their first game
with Waterloo they lost the second
and Wednesday's game gave the hon
oxs<<to the insurance town in a very
close: decision. Though now elimin-
ated, the Hensall team has played`
fine. all and this yearagain captur-
ed the district championship of the
11'iitercounty intermediate leagus.

Erb—Koehler
A quiet but pretty wedding was
held at the parsonage of the Evan-
gelical church on Thursday morning
August 30th at 9 o'clock p.m., when
Greaa IsobeIIa, eldest laughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Koehler of Haay
Township, near Hensall, became the
bride of Leonard J. Erb, son of lIr.
and Mrs.Christ. Erb, Bronson Line,
Hay,' Rev. E. Burn officiating. The
bride was attired in crepe white with
eccessories. Miss Shirley Koehler,
sister of the bride, acted as brides-
maid and wore a blue gown with
accessories to match. The grooms-
man was Mr. Emmerson Erb, brother
of the groom. After the ceremony
the. happy young couple left for o
honeymoon tript•to Toronto, where
they are attending the Exhibition
and visiting relatives. On their re -

OBITUARY
Mrs. Mary Wagner, or better
known to many as Mrs. Hartman
Happel, passed away at the home of
her daughter, Mrs. Harry Rehder in
Steamboat Springs, Colorado, . on.
Tuesday, August 2lst, .following an
illness of 11 weeks. Owing to the
fact that she couldnot eat much she
grew -gradually weaker. She was
hurried in the Steamboat Springs
cemetery on August 23rd: She was
born, in Zurich, Ont., Canada, April
'22nd, 1852, therefore was 82 years,
3 months and 29 days at time of
death. • She had been living with her
son Herbert Happel up till a year
ago last spring when he passed away
and she has been making her home
with her daughter since. Besides the
daughter; deceased is survived by
one brother Ferdinand Stelc,k of
7,:'rich acral six grandchildren and 1

The Western Fair, Western Ont-
ario's biggest event, will be held in
London, September 10th to 15th.
