Hopeful of Water Supply
A fourth attempt to secure a pure
water supply for Exeter seems to
give some promise of success. In a
shaft bored near the residence of
Wm. Abbott, Victoria: St.,, water has
been found at about 60 feet in co-
urse gravel clear from. sand and sev-
eral feet in depth. Engineer Flem-
ing is having the water.tcsted and a
pump has been sent for, to make a
test as to capacity of flow. Meantime
the reeve is much pleased, for if the
well proves a success, it will rnaeter
ially reduce the anticipated expend-
itures.
