bor Park for their annual picnic. In
the gathering were two members-el-

ference. At the noon hour the Ex-
eter Branch entertaned the delegat-
es and members about 100 in all at
luncheon. After luncheon Mrs. 13.W.
F. Beavers of Exeter gave a very
hearty address of welcome to the
visitors which was ably responded
to by Mrs. M. W. Telfer of the Cred-
iton Branch. Mrs. Walker then ad-
dressed the meeting, bringing greet-
ings from the Federation Board, al-
so from Stoney Point Institute, the
first Institute organized in Ontario
of which she is a member. Her talk
on "Beautifying our Homes" was
very interesting. Mrs. Campbell of
Mt. Bridges, Convenor of the Hydro
Committee, also address edthe meet-
ing and Mrs. Geo. Edwards of Ko-
moko in her pleasing manner made

Judge T. M. Costello or Goderich,
was in • town on Monday, and while
here transferred the Division Court
Clerkship from Mr. W. L. Siebert to
Mr. Fred Thiel. Mr. Thiel has been
bailiff for the last few years and we
do not know who Mr. Thiel's suc-
cessor will be.
The Zurich Continuation School
held their annual picnic on Friday to
Ben Miller, and Goderich, at the lat-
ter place they went through the large
salt factory which was very enucat-
ional. The lunch was then enjoyed
on the fine tourist park grounds,
and needless to say a good time was
enjoyed.
HYMENIAL
Schilbe—Swan
A quiet and pretty wedding took
place in Brucetield United Church
manse on Saturday, June 16th, at '2
b'clock, when Laura Boynton, eldest
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George
Swan, of Brucefield, was united in
marriage to Ervin Conrad Schilbe,
youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Schilbe, Zurich. Rev. W. A. Bremn-
er officiated. The bride was given in
marriage by her father and looken
lovely in white point D'espra over
taffeta'with wide taffeta sash, white
milan hat With. lace brim, and car-
ried pink eoses, baby's breath, and
fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Dorothy
,Swan, sister of the bride, was dres-
sed in pale pink organdia over pink
taffeta, trimmed with pale blue satin
buttons and sash, white hat, shoes
and gloves and wore a corsage of
roses and sweet peas. The bridegro-
om was attended by Lloyd Waiper
of• Zurich. After the marriage cere-
mony the guests gathered at the
home of the bride's parents, where a
buffet luncheon was served, the house
and table being beautifully decorat-
ed with pink and white peonies and
Prange blossoms. eAfterwards the
bridal couple left amid showers of
onfetti..for Toronto and points east,
the bride travelling' in • a bines suit,
blue hat to match and with white ac'.
