STANLEY TOWNSHIP The Young People's Society of Blake and Goshen held their closing meeting on Friday evening, .Tune 15, This took the form of a :social on the lawn of Mr. Robt. McBride, at which a large unmbee of young people gathered to enjoy a good timrle. The evening was spent in playing games, followed by a short program, Com- mencing the program all the young people joined in community singing led by the President, George Poulter. Cochrarp. The W.M.S. are meeting in the church en Wednesday June 20th. The Lord's Supper will be admin- istered at the close of the morning service in the Kippen church on Sun- day June 24th. The Hillsgreen Con- gregation are asked to be present for this service. The services at Hillsgreen church will be withdrawn on Sunday, June 24th. Mrs. Frank Corriveau, who has been at St, Joseph's Hospital, Lon- don for eye treatment for a week or more,. is now home. for a few days, but expects to return shortly to re- surae her treatments. Miss Hazel Ducharme who was in Detroit for some time, has been cal - ed home to her mother who is ser- iously ill. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Masse of De- troit spent Sunday with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Corri- veau. Mr. and Mrs. Denis Ducharme and babe were visitors with the formers' 'parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Ducharme in our village. COUNTY NEWS Corsi y Council Picnic Huron County Council will hold its annual picnic this year at Harbor Park, Goderich; on Saturday, June 23rd. Thrown From Wagon Henry Dearing, of the 5th Conces- sion of Stephen; had the misfortune to be thrown from a wagon on alien - day last and received injuries tohis back that have confined him to the house.
