Huron Old. Boys
'Tree annual picnic of the Huron
Old Boys' Association of Toronto will
be held in: area No. 2, Canadian Ex-
hibition Park, on Saturday, June 30
at 3 p.m. A big program of races
and games is being arranged in
which suitable prizes will be award-
ed. The ladies will provide refresh-
ments with the best Huron cooking.
All Huronites in the city and out of
the city are invited to be present and
take part_in the proceedings.

STEPHEN COUNCIL
The Council of the Township of
Stephen met in the Clerk's Office, on
Tuesday evening, the 12th of June,
1934, at 8 p.m. All members were
present. The minutes or the prev-
ious meeting were read and adopt-
ed.
Tenders were opened for hauling
gravel on the divisions advertised
and contracts aiwarded.
A letter was read from Mrs. Nancy
Ravelle complaining . that her prop-
erty is being damaged as a result of
-the water cutting away the embank-
ment and she asked that the Council
.take some action to avoid further
damage. It was moved by Edward
Lamport and seconded by Roy Ratz
that the Clerk write the Township
Engineer, Mr. G. McCubbin ti invest-
igate the matter and report to the
council what he considers should be
done.
Motion, that the following acce-
unts be paid.

sall. The sympathy of the whole
eonmunity goes to Mr. Weber and

Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Smith and
sons Gordon and Stanley, south of
t. Joseph, motored to Arkona on
Monday, and were accompaniedhome
by Mr. Dan. Smith of Hamburg.
Mr. and Mrs, Richard Etne and
family of Detroit, are spending their
holidays with their parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Ed. Etue of the Blue' Water
Highway, north.
Mr. and Mrs. Lautenschlager and
daughter Louise of Kitchener and
Mr. and Mrs. Herb Kraft of Detroit
spent the week -end with Mrs. L.
Kraft.
Mr. and Mrs . F. Schiele, Mrs. J.
Kisena, all of Sebringville, were
visitors at the home of Mrs. England
Mrs. England returning to Sebring-
ville for a short visit.
Mr. and Mrs. Abe Ludwig, Mrs.
J. Geiger and son Clayton, Mr, Chas.
Jonas, all of Kitchener were week-
end visitors at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. C. 0. Smith, Blue Water High-
way.
Neighbors and friends held a very
appropriate miscellaneous shower
for Miss Laura Witmer, Daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Isiah Witmer of the
Goshen Line south, last Friday even-
ing prior to her marriage in the near
future.
OBITUARY
There passed away in the Toronto
General Hospital on Monday, June
lith ,Alice Mabel Dick, beloved wife
of Roy Webber, aged 34 years. She
had been in poor health for several
months and for the last three weeks
has been in a critical condition, On
Sunday she was taken to Toronto to
consult a specialist who advised an
operation. The operation was per-
formed Monday but she did not rally
and passed away shortly afteyward.
Mrs. Weber was born in Hay town-
ship, the only daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Jaynes Dick. of London Road,
