Breaks Legs
While moving a colony house at
his farm in Tuckersmith last week,
Montgomery Patrick, well known
farmer, had his legs broken. Ile was
standing on the house driving a team
when the whifiietrees broke and he
was thrown to the ground. He is at
home and resting comfortably.
HIGHWAY NOW OILED
Oiling of the Bluewater Highway
has been completed from Grand
,Bend 10 Goderich under the super-
vision of district engineers. Numbers
of unemployed from points along the
way have given temporary work. No
start has yet been made on thc'wid-
ening of culverts up north.
ANNUAL JUDGING
COMPETITION
The eighth annual Live Stock and
Household Science Judging Comppet-
ition will be held in Seaforth, on Fri-
day, June 22nd under the supervis-
ion of the Huron County Branch of
the Ontario Department of Agricul-
ture. The Competition is open to
boys and girls of Huron. County who
are 26 years of age and under. •
The girls will be required to judge
classes in Nutrition, Clothing and.
House Furnishing and contestants
must. register in the Seaforth Town
Hall, by 8.30 am. The entry fee for
each girl a 25c. The boys will be
required to judge two classes each
•of Horses, beef, cattle, dairy cattle,
i ;heel) and, .swine, ..and oral reasons
A. Strawberry Social will be giv-
en under the auspices of the Ladies'
Aid of Zion' Lutheran church, Dash-
wood on Wednesday, June 20th.
Supper . will ,be served from 5 to 8

given and Dashwood Brass Band will
be in attendance. You are cordially

for his home on Saturday.

Master Alvin Willem spent last

While leading a cow with a small
calf from: pasture Arthur Weber of
the Bronson Line was gored by the
cow and but for the timely arrival
of a neighbor might have been ser-
iously injured. He was knocked down
and badly bruised about the body.
