Murdoch, former!yy of Clinton, in his 83rd year: He had been in failing health for a few ye- ars. Was born in Scotland, being a son of the Rev. J. Murdoch of Scot- land. Was educated' at a .grammar School and Marshall College, Aber- deen, and choose the sea as his car- eer. For many years he was a sea captain, visiting during the course of his career almost every port in the world.
