Mr. Orval Stephenson and his
mother, Mrs. W. H. Stephenson of
Marlette, Mich, were here attending
the funeral of the late Mrs. Mc-
Clinchey.
Word has been received here- of
the sudden death at Tupperville of
Rev- Robert A. Miller, a former pas-
tor on the Varna Charge and whose
wife was formerly Miss Margaret
Clark of Varna.
Death of Mrs. Robert McClinchey
There passed away at her home
on Goshen Line, Stanley, on Satur-
day, April 28th,Mrs. Robert McClin-
they. She had been in failing
health for some time and during the
last few months had suffered very

ughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Isaac Erratt , and was • married 33
years. ago to Robert McClinchey, who
survives her . with two sons Frank,
and Bruce; both at home, • who will
feel very keenly theloss. of a kind
and loving wife and ?nother. Also
one brother, Henry Erratt of Stanley
survives. The family also suffered
a very great Toss about 16 months
ago when the eldest son, Willie, was
suddenly taken away, especially was
it a heavy blow to the mother in her
weakened physical condition. The
•funeral which was held on Monday
to Bayfield-ceraetary was am larg-
ely' attended. The services 'were con-
ducted by her pastor, Rev. E. A.
Poulter, who spoke of her Christian
faith and fortitude through her days
physical pain and weakness. Very
appropriate solos were sung by Mr.
George Poulter and Mr. Orval Ste-
phenson. The floral tribute was
very 'beautiful, erne 'wreath being
from the Goshen W. M. Z. of which
the -deceased was a faithful member,
also one from the Bake -Goshen Y.P:
Society' and a number from loving
friends. The pall -bearers were six
nephews: . Willie Arnestrong, Robt.
Armstrong, John Armstrong, 'Wm.
StePlienson, 'Orval Stephenson and
'Russell 'Errata The sympathy of
'the community goes out to the 'bere-
aved husband and sons.

meeting in the Town Hall, Zurich,
on Monday evening, May 7th. All

RECITAL DELAYED
Owing to unavoidable delay be•
the. Organ Company, the Dedication
and organ recital mentioned in last
week's issue, has been delayed for
one week, and will now be laid on
Sunday, May '13th, instead of May
6th. Plans are being made to hare
a big day in St. Peter's Lutheran
Church, Zurich, on Sunday May 13.

Are Holding Banquet
On Thursday evening of this
Week the Royal Knight's Young Men's
Bible Class of the Evangelical church
are holding a banquet in the town,
with the Ladies' Aid •of thechinah,
suplying the mama This organizati-
on recently held a contest with the
reds and blues, Milton Oesch and
Bill Siebert as captains, respectively
The blues were the winners, so the
reds are responsible for the program
at this arranged event. Unfortunat-
ely not even the ladies are invited
to this unique event.
Athletic Meeting
Big times are ahead -of us the
coming summer in the way of sports
A large representation of interesting
sport fans met at Clinton on Mon-
day evening, and a Baseball League
known as the Huron—Perth Base-
ball League was formed, with the fol-
lowing towes playing a.team therein
Goderieh, Clinton, Mitchell, Sten,
Exeter and Zurich. This indeed sho-
uld be interesting, and a schedule
will be dawn up shortly. Improve -
manta are -being made to the local
diamond and before the summer is
