A baseball meeting is being called
to meet at O'i3rein's produce sh6p
on Thursday evening, Ppril 26th. All
those interested inbaseball kindly be

We regret very much that Mr.
Fred Rader, of. the Goshen Line,
south, has recently taked seriously
ill and taken to. London Hospital
and operated on for appendicitis as
well as other eareplicaltions We how-
ever are ,pleasde to report that Mr.
Rader is progressing as well as Can
be expected.
The Women's Institute will hold
their May meeting the first Wednee-
day of the month, May 2nti, 1)r.
Moir of Hensall will be the guest
speaker. Everybody is invited to
come. The meeting beginning at
7.30 o'clock instead of the usual
hour. There will be' the election of
officers before the progratir, so every
member is urged to be present and

day evening in honor of Mr. Ewart
Cornish, who has been partner in
the electrical business of Talbot &

DIES IN 103rd YEAR
Last Friday evening a mass meet-
ing was .called in the Town.' ball,
Zurich between the Zurich Agricult-
ural Society and the Zurich Athletic
Club and Turf Club. Mr. Coles was
appointed as secretary for the meet
ingand the following o'''tters were el
ected: President, Wm. O'Brein; Sec-
retary, Ed. Geselro, Treasurer, Mil-
ford Schilbe; A strong Working Coni
rnittee of twelve was also appointed
The object of this society is to en-
courage athletics, baseball, horse
racing, and all such amusements. Ar-
rangements were made with the Local
Agricultural Society for the use of
the gro :nds, and in return this soc-
iety will keep down the, weeds.. We
are looking forward for a big sum;
mer's _sport on these grounds. The
old baseball •diamond, which has a
big history already, is being put in-
to shape, as well as the track gone
over, and other improvements and
inducements are being made for a
big year's sport, which will likely-
end
ikelyend up with the Zurich Fall Fair in
September.

Hensall lost one of it, most re-
spected and by far the oldest re icd-
ent in the person of :larg rr 't. Agur
who in a very short time would have 7310
Celebrated her 103 birthday, Born
in Prince Edward Di. trict in the yr.
1932, she spent her early life there
and in 1885 was miuricd to Robert
Agur of Ingersoll who predeceased •
her many years ago. There were 4
children, Robert, who died in B. C.,
Anna, wife of the late Dr. Colin
Fletcher, the late Dr. Frank of Tol-
edo and Mary of Hensall the only f
surviving member of the family,The
e;.s Agur, returning from spending.
.n evening with a friend found her
mother lying on the bedroom floor
raving evidently fallen out of bed,
raking her hip with the result of
loath. She came to Hensall about 11
eeire ago .when her son-in-law the
;ate Ree. Dr. Fletcher retired from
the Ministry at Thames Road follow -
'ng the death of his wife. Interment
;as imide in the Stone Church Cem-
etery at Kirkton.
