Roads Break Up
Those who had decided that the
frost was all out of the roads re-
ceived a big surprise last. week as
Many of the country roads began to
break up. The road running west
through Dashwood, had its troubles
as many people going to Exeter from
that place went by way of Zurich,
making it twenty miles farther by
figuring both ways. The Zurich
road has kept up wonderfully this
spring, this is undoubtedly due to
the slowness of which the frost has
come out and the deep ditches and
good 'drainage, Some give tete crus-
hed stone all the credit, but we are
told that this same kind of crushed
stone has been used on. the Dash-
wood road and it has gone to pieces..
The Blue 'Water Highway from S,t.
Joseph south is in many places in
an almost impassable condition, and
many cars have been stuck and had
to be pulled out in many places in
the various roads, The road from
Kippers to Egmondville also broke
through and cars had to have assis-
tance, but with the nice sunny wea-
