Hoarding Relief Fuel
At a recent meeting of the civic
-welfare board at G,osreri.clr., it was re-
ported that a resident Who has been
receiving relief of fuell iiad been
found to be hoarding the supply, the
Chief of police investigated and dis-
-covered some coal and nearly a cord
of wood in the woodshed and about
two cords of wood in the; barn, to
which he had to ahnost force admit-
tarice. Tlie explanati'om offered was
that the wood was to green to burn.

A business meeting of the Zurich
Public Librakry Association was held
in the council chamber of the town
hall on, January 18th.. ' The meeting

Treas., and the Board of Manage-
ment including, Mrs. P. J. "Dwyer
Mrs. I. Kalbfleisch, Mrs. W. Reith,
Miss C. Mernex, Dr. A. J. 3VtacKinnon
Rev. E. Tuerkheim, Mr. Randall••Cole
John Gascho, R. F. Stade, J. W.
Merrier, K. Routledge. The follow-
ing are the motions adopted by the
board: That the 1933 Auditors,Mrs
G. Koehler and Miss A. Datars con-
tinue for 1934. That the Board of
Management ask for tenders for a
librarian and suitable room of den=
tral location. That a special :com-
mit'tet a including officers of board,
Mrs. O'Dwyer and Mrs. I. Kelbflei-
sch to inspect and: accept tenders.
That membership fee of 50 Lents be
charged for. this year. That a spec-
ial drive for membership be made for
members and that W. A. Siebert;
Ken. Routledge, Miss C. Merrier and,,.
Miss J. MacDonald forma committee

who died very suddenly, although
she had been ailing considerable for
some time. Her "age being 84 yenta,

inner was born in Germany and: was

band, the late Adam Truemner, and,
immediately after their marriage,
they came to Canada, the husband

Bull, some forty years "ago, later prov-
ing to Zurich. Deceased is survived
by two childred; one daughter,
(Ernestine), Mrs. Ayres, and one
son, Mr. John Truernner, both of
Detroit. The remains were laid to
rot in: the Lutihcratr cemetery, on

The annual meeting of the' Zurich
Agricultural Society was. held in the
Town Hall, on Monday afternoon
with a fairly attendance. The secy-
treas., Mr. E. F. Klopp, gave the
financial report as a balance on
hand of $394.95, which is indeed a
very creditable showing, one to) be
admired, and the management of the
society is to be congratulated. Tire
officers for 1934 are as follows Presi-
dent, Ferd•Haberer; Vice -Pres., Win.
Decker, and 2nd Vice, Lee O'Brein;;
directors, Henry Clausi us, Henry
Fuss, R. Geiger, Fred J. Haberer,
Klopp, 'A: Melick, Lloyd O'Brein,M.
Rader and. Alfred Pfaff is the only
new director. Auditors, Thos. Mey-
ers and Jacob Haberer. • The fairdates were set for Monday and Tu-
esday, Sept. 24th and 25th.
