• HOME!
Quite often during the past few
years we have read -articles by those
who declare that the home has been
rorgotted and neglected, and that
young married 'couples are in the
motorcar more than .anywhere else
during their leisure hours. One thing
the depression has done—it has than port, Election of Oriicers, Etc.
ged all this. The home is now coming 3. t'. Rau, .President.
back into its own. In fact it never E. F. Klopp, Secy-Treas.
has and never will lose its great ,at-
traction to mankind. The truth ex-
pounded by John. Bright that "the
nation in every country dwells in the
cottage' is as true today as it was
when these same words were .utter-
ed. Home influence will never be
forgotten no matter where we roam,

COLDEST DECEMBER
IN NINETY YEARS
Statistics issued by the Weather
Bureau at Toronto show that Dece-
as the old song says, and in these niber was colder with more snow
.than has been the average for' this
days of distress the home becomes the ,month in over 90 years. The mean
anchor of many a young man- and temperature was 24.2, or 2 degrees
woman. It seems certain that in- the beoow the average; the warmest day
years to come we shall see the spirit
of Home, Sweet -Home, again pre-
dominated throughout aur land, and
outshining those other pleasures
which are a necessary part of peo-
ple's lives, but not the chief item of
hunman existence.—Ex.
