ANOTHER FIRE Early Tuesday morning the fire al- arm was given that the barn of Mr. John' Marlette on the corner of the Parr Line and Zurich Road, was on fire.. The owner had gone to the barn to do the morning chores, re- quiring the light of the lantern as it was still dark. It had been his practice to hang the lantern on a nail, but this had fallen from its cus- tomary place, so Mr. Marriette plac- ed it on the stable floor. He had thrown down a few rorkfulls of hay when;.he noticed the flames. And an alarm was immediately given, and the proprietor was busy in getting out the horses and cattle, but some 18 pigs perished in the flames, which soared up very highly with the strong west wind blowing at the tune, and this soon ignited an implement shed near by. The house had also taken fire,• but the Zurich fire equipment whish was soon on the scene, soon put but • the fire at the, house.
