Last Wednesday afternoon, ended the half holiday season in Zurich, and the merchants and. business men in town will now have to settle down to steady going of six days to every, week, with exception of when there is a public holiday, till next June when they will probably decide on observing this weekly half day of relaxation. . - The annual Thanksgiving Day will be celebrated next Monday, October 9th, as according to the proclamation issued by the Government. Dashwood Band attended Bayfield and Iiderton Fairs last week. This being ten years in succession that Dashwood Band has furnished the music at Ilderton. Burglars practically cleaned out the garage of H. S. Wein last week, jimmirig the lock of the back door, they entered the premises and stole all the stock of tires, batteries, bulbs and tools including an electric drill and motor and Mr. Wein's car to carry away 'the loot 'removing the cushions first so there would be suffi- cient room to load the material. Dis covert' of the robbery was made by L. Bender and G. Rosendahl at 4 o'clock. Mr. Rosendahl having risen earlyto.,go• .on •a !fishing trip: noticed the. froiirdoor of the 'garage open.
