Joseph's Hospital, London, has returned home. Miss Helen Nadiger is visiting fri- ends in Thedford. Mrs. Fisher, who spent the summer• at Ipperwash has returned home. - About 40 member„ of the Walther League of the Dashwood Lutheran church gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Nadiger in honor of their daughter Zeta, who has enter- ed the Nurse's Training school of Victoria Hospital. Miss Nadiger who has been president of the League, was completely taken by surprise.' During the evening Miss Nadiger was presented with a gift of vases by the new president Alvin Walper,while an address of appreciation of her services in the League was read by Rev. Luft. The remainder of the evening was spent in games after which a dainty lunch was served and in leaving all joined in wishing her success in her new undertaking. Miss Nadiger was formerly a successful student at Exeter High School. . While engaged in hauling wood Messrs Wm. Snell and Geo. Stire met with an .accident a little east of the village when a part of the har- ness broke causing the team to run away. Both men were thrown from the wagon and Wm. Snell who was the more seriously hurt was taken to the Doctor's office where his injuries. were attended to by Dr. L. S.. Tie-- man, ie-man, who is in charge during the absence of Dr.. R. H. Taylor. Mr Snell was found to have suffered several fractured ribs and severe bruises while Mr. Stire escaped with a severe shaking up. Death of Adolphus Desjardine Adolphus Disjardine died. early on Thursday morning, Sept. 14th at his home, on the •Town Line in his 75th year. He suffered a stroke a few days previous from which he failed co recover. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ohlen. Truemner of the Bee Line and Mrs. Ed. Wildss of Peace River, .two sons PIacid Desjardine of the 16th con., and Adolphus of Edmonton, Alta., one brother Silas of Sask., and four sis- ters, Mrs. Jos. Sharrow; Mrs, Gr•at- ton, 3,Ir's+ Pa"ri%eau and Mrs. Win, Stebbins all of Grand Bend. Fun- eral services were held on Saturday to Grand Bend Cemetery. Marian Desjardine Passes On Monday, Sept. 14th, Marian, Yvonne, infant twin daughter of Mr and Mrs. Leesome Desjardine of Grand Bend, passed to be with Jesus aged three months. The funeral was held on Thursday at 2 p.m. to Grand Bend cemetery. Mr. W. J.. Henry, of Toledo, Ohio conducted the serv- ices. Besides her parents, she is. survived by her twin brother Mur- ton Wayne, one sister Joy and si brothers, Herman, Ivan, Iann, ...or- ris, Harry and Byron, Death of Joseph Cicotte Joseph Cicotte a contractor, for- merly of Detroit, died at his summer home at Grand Bend, Wed. Sept. 13, in his 50th year. He has been in failing health for some time and -is survived by his widow and one son Orville. Interment took place in Detroit. An- glican Church are looking forward to their Harvest Home service in the near future. The public auction sale of the household goods and furniture of the late Mrs. Geo. F. Case was held by the executors Saturday last. There was quite a large attendance and fair prices were obtained: Shipping has been quite brisk at the railway station during the past week and grain is being brought: in considerable quantities.
