Last Wednesday evening was an
interesting, evening. at the Zurich
Police Trustee meeting when re-
presentatives from various compan-
ies were present with. the intentions
of selling the town a. new water sup-
ply outfit, as the present tank will
not hold. water, and the present pump
is not standing up too well, being at
present again out of order. The
purchase. was finally made from the
Beattie Bros., of Guelph, and the
new outfit includes a b,000 gallon
steel. preasun:e tams:., a different pump
and. an automatic switch which will
cut hi and take off "when the ,supply
in the tank is lowered. This will be
a. great convenience to the' users, as
there will always be sufficient preas-
uke to force the water 'to any part
of .town where water pipes will carry
it When .this new system is in -
'stalled it should be an inducement
for other customers to hook on and
have alt abundantsupply of water
always at the tap, of first class sani-
tary water that is readily lieed for
washing clothes as well as drinking
purposes, as it is of a mild and
rather soft nature. Citizens siould
avail themselves of this opportunity,
a lupe line should be run up to the
public school, and it will likely be
piped all .around town in the 'hatter
o., time. The new equipraons will
cost considerable over $141.00 till it
