About four months ago she suffered a stroke and since then she has been confined to .her bed, crud in spite of all that kind eare and skilful nursing could do for her, she gradually be- came weaker till the end came. She was a woman of very kind and chri- stian disposition, which fact was 'very evident in her conversation as well as her kindly acts, and she was be- loved and highly . respected by all who enjoyed her acquaintence... Rei maiden name was Elizabeth Peck, daughter of the late John and Nancy Peck, and she was born on the Babylon Line. She is survived by one brother, Mr. Nathan Peek .of Hensall. Two daughters and one son also survive. Mrs. Austin Star- dy' of Goderich Tp., Mrs. Wm. J. Clark of Stanley and Mr. Clifford H. on the oold homestead on the Baby - lone Line, also six grandchildren, to whom is extended the sympathy of a large circle of friends. The de- ceased was a very faithful and con- sistent member of Goshen United church, and before union. union she, and her late husband were very loyal Methodist,. The funeral serviee, which was conducted by her pastor, 'Rev. E. A. Poulter of Varna; • was held at, the home on Tuesday after n000ix, interment being made in Bay- field cemetery.
