ical; church, called in the village on
Monday forenoon.
Mrs. John E. Gascho is spending
the week with her sister, Mrs. Henry
Gruehn of Pigeon, Mich., who is
quite ill.
Mrs. Fred Turner and son Grant
of Goderich, . were visitors with the
former's sister, Mrs. E. E. Weido,
and friends at Blake the past week.
Our space is rather limited for a
few weeks at present, but we will
soon be back to normal again, and
as a consequence some very interest-
ing items will be carried over. •
The funeral of Saron Vincent was
held at Dashwood last Tuesday from
the home of his son, Norman Vincent
Stephen Township. The late Mr.
Vincent was well known to many in
this section and was highly esteemed

panied by Rev. Gretzinger and son
Laverne, motored to Lonc:on, on Sun-
day evening where Mr. Gretzinger
conducted a service in one of the

LEAVES $12,600 ESTATE
Application for letters of adminis-
tration with Will annexed to the es-
tate of John E. McDonell, whore de-
ath occurred on December 3rd, last,
is being made by The Canada Trust
Company, administrator. Mr. Mc-
Doneil was for many years associated
with his brother, Charles IVIcDonell,
in the automobile business at 1len-
sall and, under the terns of his Will,
the assets of the estate valued at
$12,6(37, are bequothed to his widow
nephew and nieces. Carling & Mor-
ley, Exeter, are acting as solicitors
for the estate.
Auto ' Accidents
On Monday evening while Mr. Wel-
lington Johnston was going from
Grand Bend on his way to Stratford
with a load of fish in his auto - some-
where west of Exeter, he met a big
truck with a -load of fertilizer thereon
The two vehicles came together on
top of a little hill and did not have
sufficient time to turn out enough to
avoid an accident, and as a conse-
quence Mr, Johnston's car was the
sufferer, as both fenders and the
Funning board were taken off, and
the truck kept going on, and Mr.
Johnston hurridly went to the near-
est farm house and phoned to Dash-
wood and had the truck stopped.
Traffic Officer Norman Lever was cal -
ed on the case and it took several
tours before things were straighten-
ed out. The driver of the truck will
ikely face a charge of leaving the
cane of accident. Mr. Johnston's

A new publication made its initial
bow to the village of Exeter, when ,
copies of The Exeter Review were de- l
livered free to the hones on Satur-
day. The 10 -page paper received a
liberal share of advertising and con-
tained several biographies of local,
citizens. J. Willis Powell is associ- j
kited with the new venture and the
press work was done at the Wickwire
Print Shop, Exeter.
Mr. Jacob Ortwein of the Bron-
son Iine, Hay, has recently purchased
a 100 -acre farm on the Babylon line
near Crediton recently vacated by
Mr. Fainter. Mr. Ortwein's son-in-
law, Mr. Anderson, will move onto
the farm. We understand that this
