Hensall Spring Show
The Hensel]. Spring Show was
held on Tuesday afternoon, April 11,
and in spite of the wet weather a
large crowd was present. There were
some splendid horses and cattle sho-
wn. Main street was roped off and
the horses were shown on the pave-
ment. Some of the classes were par-
ticularly fine. There were 31' entries Jennie Martz teff for her home in
of cattle and the animals were a ere- New Baltimore after a pleasant vis-
dit. Wm. Charters of Seaforth was it with friends here.

to be very poorly.
Lloyd Hudson of Forest spent the
week -end at his home here.
` Nelson Blatchford, following a
somewhat recent operation at Huron
Springs Sanitarium, continues to do
as well as could be expected, and it
is hoped will soon make good recov-
ery. It is hoped that Harry Howard
who is also at the Huron Springs
Sanatorium for rest and .treatment,
may also soon show marked improve
meats.

town hall last Friday evening, when

The death occurred here last Mon-
day evening of Mrs. Samuel' Smillie,
one of Hensall's oldest and most re-
spected residents at the residence of
herdaughter, Mrs. John Tapp. Mrs.
Smillie has been an invalid for over
25 years. Her maiden name was EIi-
zabeth Gray and she was born in
Scotland .85 years ago, coming to
this country when a young girl. Her
husband, the late Samuel Smillie, pre
