He was born in Port Hope 84 years. ago and when a young lad the farn- ily moved to Usborne and located on the farm now owned by Clark Fisher The family later moved to Tucker - smith on the London road. Mr. Butts has resided in Toronto for 40 years, where he was in the employ of the Massey -Harris Co. In spite of his advanced years he was quite active up to a week ago when he suffered a stroke. Jarrott, who is a resident with. his brother Isaac Jarrott at Kippen, had been down the London Road with a horse and buggy and on his return as it was getting dark he thought he would drive into Hensall to get a light from.his brother-in-law, 'Con- stable Geo. Hudson. He was just turning into S. Richmond st., when a car driven by Lawrence Pulmsteel and Wm. Murch of Clinton, ran into hili, damaging the hind wheel of the buggy. The Clinton car then swung across the road going into the ditch, which was very deep at that place. The car was badly .damaged but for- tunately the young men were not seriously hurt.". Traffic Officer, Lever was called to the scene and made an investigation. Mie Jarrott was sum- moned before Magistrate Reid on Saturday and fined for driving.with-' o at lights.
