Later in the evening over 100 young people gathered from all parts of the town- ship and an enjoyable time was spent at dancing and cards. When the motorcycle on which they were riding skidded at a sweep corner at Seaforth Larry McKay and W. R. Porter, both of Stratford, we- re thrown from the machine and Painfully injured. The accident oc- cured when they were riding -roan Gbderich to Stratford after spenaing Sunday with some friends there. When the motorcycle skidded on the slippery pavement, Porter, who was riding on the rear seat, was thrown some distance and McKay struck either the, pavement of the cycle ane' was stunned. Lauder and Jessie Bell, and was born in Durham, Dec. -28, 1853. There she spent her girlhood and after becom- ing the bride of Waiter Buchanan, her married life, she carne to Bay- field to make her home with her daughter 14 years ago. A colorful figure passed away in the Scott Memorial. Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Jacobs, two of the oldest and most Highly e steem- med residents of Seaforth, quietly ob served the 60th anniversary of their wedding at their home on Christmas day.
