Miss Ethel Hess left for South
Bend, Ind., where she will visit with
'relatives for a few weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kuntz of
Windsor, were Sunday visitors at the
home of Mrs. A. Rose.
Mr. and Mrs. Gid. Koehler were
Sunday visitors with relatives in
Kitchener and Baden.
Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Johnston and
son, Ross, and Mr. Archie MacKinnon
were visitors at Detroit for a few
days.
Miss Grace Ortwein of the Bron-
son line who has spent the past three
weeks with her sister near Hamilton,
has returned home.
Mr, Charle Pope, the Diesel eng-
ine mechanic of Brussels, gave the
large engine of the Zurich mill a
touch-up on Monday.
Mr. Albert Heideman who is a
student at the Orangville Business
College„ spent the week -end at the
home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.
Heideman.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Oesch, bridal co-
uple are making preparations to move
in the house owned by the Mrs. L.
Geiger Estate, and opposite the Ev-
angelical Church.
Mr. William J. Dowson has purch-
ased the dwelling property at the
south end of the village, which he

Mr. Roy Weber of Hensall was a
Sunday visitor with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Louis Weber. We under-
stand that Roy is about to open up
•a, Hardware business in .Hensall, and
we' wish him well inh is undertaking.
Wurm-Anna M. Wurm, in cher-
ished memory of our devoted sister,
who passed away thirteen years ago,
November 10, 1925.

Doctor 95 Years Oid
Dr. J. W. Browning, oldest practis-
ing physician in Canada celebrated
on Monday at his hone in Exeter,
his 95th birthday. Dr. Browning who
carne to Exeter three days after Con-
federation, has practised without in-
teruption ever since. In his youth
lie was one of the first telegraph op-
erators. having picked up the code
from 'other members of the family
when he was but 14 years of age. A
steady procession of visitors maria its
way to the doctor's office adding
their congratulations to numerous
'messages sent by mail and wire.

A very pretty wedding was sol-
emnized on Saturday, November 12,
at 4 p.m. at the home of Mr. ane :airs
Wilson Carlisle, Hensall, when theh
youngest daughter Annie Alice, was
united in the holy bonds of matri-
mony with Le.elaud C. Willert, eldest
son of Mrs. Geo. Hess of Gurrcn and
tI•re,late Louis •Willert. Rev. A. Sincl-
air of Blyth, and Rev. R. A. Brook of
Hensall United church performed the
ceremony under an arch of evergre-
en, pink and white carnations a nil
white bell. Miss Irene Douglas play-
ed the wedding march and the bridal
ch r us. The charming bride, given in
marriage by her father, wore a rob-
in egg. blue taffeta floor length gown
in hoop line style with high waistline
bandeau •of orange blossoms, white
bro.oade slippers trimmed w'tn silver
and carried madams buttedfly roses.
A wedding dinner was served to a-
bout 50 guests from tables beauti=
fully decorated with pink and white
'mums and centred with the brid'e'•s
eake;.and waited on by three girl fri-
ends of the bride; Misses Jean Foster •
Bella and Irene Smale. Later the
happy couple left amid showers of
best wishes for. a honeymoon trip
to Toronto, Buffalo and other potnts
