1938 at 1 o'clock pat.
Herbert K. Either, Twp. Clerk.
Mr. Garfield Brown has returned
from Kitchener.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert K. Eilber of
Crediton were Sunday visitors with
Mr. and Mrs. Ward Fritz.
Mr. Daniel Smith who spent sever-
al weeks with friends at New Ham-
burg, has returned.
Mr, and Mrs. Herb. Mousseau and
the latter's mother, Mrs. C. Walper
visited relatives in Detroit recently.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Geiger and fam
ily of Pigeon, IVlich., spent the week-
end with her father, Mr. Alfred
Melick.
Mrs. Alex. Foster and members of
her family were visitors at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Meidinger and
other friends, one day recently.
Mrs. Ernest Fisher of Goderich;
Mrs. Adrian Denomme of town and
Mr. James Denomme, Vernon Rau
and Norman Sararas of the district,
spent a few days at Chatham, Walk-
erton and other points.
The local poultry dealers have their
hands quite full these days, as there
are practically tons of poultry each
week shipped and slaughtered. It
gives emplayment to a goodly num-
ber of citizens to dress these •birds,
which have to be in this condition to
be marketed.
Dr. J. A. Addison is having a gar-
age built just north of the Drug
mare, facing on Main Street, which
will be a great convenience to the
Doctor. The old sable which fales on
Victoria Street will be taken down.
and the material used in building the
garage. Mr. Morris Weber is the
man in charge for the work.

tire party then took a drive to the
new Blue Water Bridge, at Sarnia,
and of course took a stroll over this
massive new structure which is about
150 feet above the later level of
the St. CIair River.
Mr. William O'Brein spent a few
days over the week -end with relati-
ves at Crosswell, Mich. .TMs. O'Brien
who had been visiting there for e
week returning home with her hus-
band. While at Crosswell Mr. O'Brien
enjoyed some hunting, and bagged a
few nice patrich which are quite
numerous i nthe Crosswell district.
A very regrettab.Ie part of the out•
ing is that hunters are not allowed
to enter Canada with 'any game dead
or alive. And we think this law is in
effect to preserve the health or Can-
adian live game.
