Mr. Bedard has worked for Mr. Ed. Bris- son, south of St. Joseph, for the past few years. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred E. Moritz of Guelph, spent the week -end at the 'home of Mr. and Mrs. C. Fritz. Mr Moritz is always slacl to get •'acic to the place of his birth, and he is in- deed a very interesting person to en- joy a social chat with. Partners are very . busy with the bean harvesting, and the rain on Wednesday was somewhat a setback but the soil was becoming somewhat dry for fall wheat sowing, which is also the order at present, as many fields of beans are then sowed to fall wheat, A goodly number of fi- elds of wheat are already sown. Mr. Walker advises us that their golf playing pat- ronage far exceeded the past year's, while the other patronage was a little below last year. Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Haberer, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Haberer recently enjoy- ed a motor trip to Kingston, Thous- and Islands, Ottawa and other points and were greatly impressed with the eastern part of Ontario. A Talking Moving. Picture Show will be given in the Zurich Town Hall, on Saturday evening t -_e 10th. These boys have ;been here before and have shown good pictures. The public are invited to take in these pictures at the popular prices. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Dagg have on Thursday, Sept. 1st moved their effects from the house occupied since they came to Zurich and located just south of Eckel's Bakery, and the new home is in the former Truemner home on Louisa street. This place has recently been purchased by Mr. Whitney Brokenshire who made a renovation of the house, putting run- ning water, and modern conveniences Sunday Was a very interesting day in St. Peter's Lutheran church when Rev. E. Turkheim, their 0-estor cele - rated his tenth anniversary as 'their pastor, and the day could in no way be better observed than by good arousing sermons from the lips of the pastor..
