Complimenting Miss Ruby Fink-
beiner, of Crediton, a bride -elect of
next month, Mrs. Ward Fritz of Zur-
ich was.a recent hostess entertaining

guest •of honor received many lovely
gifts which were brought into the
living, room on a wagon decorated in
pink and white and drawn by Miss
Mary Lou Fritz and Master Donald
O'Brien dressed as bride and groom.
Buffet refreshments were served in
the dining room where the table was
centred with a beautiful bouquet of
snap-dagons and gypsophila. Mrs. H.
Finkbeiner poured and the H.ostess
was also assisted by Miss Pearl Wurtz

On Monday August 22nd, Mrs.
Themes Johnson of this village cele-
brated at her house her ninety-first
tirthday. Mrs. Johnson has the dis-
tinction of being the oldest person
in. Zurich. She has been a resident
of the village for over sixty years
and has seen the village grow fi om
infancy to where it is to -day. Mrs.
Johnson, we are pleased to say, en-
joys good health and takes her daily
walk, ; She has four daughters: Mrs.
E. W. Stoskopt of Kitchener, Misses
