• Fiftieth Anniversary
A very happy event was cerebrated
en Saturday afternoon and evening
at the -home of Mr, and Mrs. Petet
Deichert Sr., of the, Blind Line, Hay,
just east of Zurich, thxa occasion be-
ing the celebration of their fiftieth
wedding anniversary. Providence is
indeed kind to any happy union if
they are spared to enjoy life together
for fifty years, and' Mr. and Mrs.
Deichert have worthily made good use
of this special privilege. They were
united in marriafe fifty years ago by
the then pastor of St. Posers thth-
eran church, Fathee Struempfer, the
ceremony being- performed at the
home of the bride's parents, the
Bloch homeetead, just south of Zur-
ch, here Elizabeth Bloch who is now
i8 years of age and Peter Thnchort
vho is now 75 years old were united
n Holy Welidlock.. Both these happy
ouple of 50 years are enjoying life
and good health Pt present. The un -
on was blessed with ten children, six
ons and four daughters, who were
til p"esent for this occasion. Rev.
E. Turkheint, their pastor was also
resent and conducted a very • ap-
vepriate sen7ice. The visitors pros-
nt numbered about fifty and includ-
ed Mrs. Stiles from tonal! Law, Ont.,
nil Mr, Henry Neuschwararer of
ashwood, who were witnesses at
he -Wedding of fifty years ago. We
