THE UNEXPECTED HAPPENS
In all sport lines the unexpected
always about to happen, and roger
less of what these experts piedi
their calculations are vary often e
ely upset, so it is with the t:a
of the big hockey Leagues. Both th
Toronto Mapleafs and the Chicago
Black Hawks were considered a
having absolutely no chance in the
plyaoffs, erpecially the team from
the Windy City to the west, and tc-
day they are in he finals with the
Leafs and won their fit gt:_ac on
1'ii.esday exening 8-1. The Hawk we
a compelled .to beat such terms a
the fast •Canedens of Montreal and
the Americans of New York, while
;lr^ .Leafs battled it out with the
'5i-eising Boston team taking three in
a row after losing five games to one
win in the schedule. 'Chicago the way
they are • going will likely take the
series and .be the happy possessor of
:lie much coveted •Stanley Cup for a
year, which honor the Detroit team
hes won for two years. in succession.!
