village and owned. by the Jacob Gell-
man estate has -been sold to Mr.
Samuel McBnido, of Stanley Town-
ship. An auction sale is being held
for the effects of the Gelman estate
on Thursday March 24the

What is considered. the best sur-
plus in .a goodly number of years has
been received by the Zurteh Hydro
Commission when the 13th power
bill was received the other day. The
statement shows that the village dur-
ing the past year paid :the Commission
at Toronto the sum of $4,596.85 and
the cost of this poweris fined out
at $3,866.75, leaving a credit to the
Zurich system of .$730.06. This will
he absorbed in the monthly power
WIT we have to pay to the Commission
at. Toronto, and collies in very' handy
to the treasury of the local board.
OBITUARY
Late Jerome Bedard'
Much sympathy is extended ot Mr
• and. Mrs. Dennis Bedard of town in
the loss of their son Jerome, aged
43 years, 1 month and. 16 days, who
died of quinsy after a short. illness,
and regardless of everything that
could be done for him, the young
life departed on Friday March 4th.
He was .a very bright and active
y.N.ing lad and will be greatly missed
by his young friends, as well as his
immediate family. The funeral took
place on Monday roarnbx to the St.
Boniface R. C. church foe service and
to the St. Boniface cemetery for
interment. Rev. Feelter L. W. Power
officiating. The bereft family have
the sympathy of their many friends.
