, THE. STORM
Last week f cen Tuesday till Fri-
daYYbwas the waist storm we have ex-
pertnced since, the memorable winter
of two years; ago when roads were
blocked for weeks. This time it,was
for the biggest part of a week. The
auto and truck had to be set; aside
and the horse and sleigh were brou-
ght into action. But by Fr:Way the
big plows managed to get; through
and the storms abated, area now the
"gas buggy" is again the mode of
travel. An unfortunate conditiket
prevails with the Zuriioh and Dashe
wood roads this winter, as it is, rx-.
peeb d the IProv..ince will take over
these roads with the beginning at".the
new year, so the County withdrew -
:;dl snow fences red such equipment
last fall, and of course, the Province
not having resutned the roads, did
nothing in this way. lout we trust
that these roads will rept become an
orphan in he. future, as only a few
months ago, •at the recent Provincial
election they were the live topic of,
tee day.
